Your data

Delete your account

You can have your Clarity account and everything in it deleted, whenever you want, without giving a reason. Here's how, and exactly what goes.

How to request it

Send one email from the address on your Clarity account. That last part matters — it's how we know the request is really yours.

Email a deletion request

Or write to anelechichiebuka@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my Clarity account”. Tell us the email on the account and whether you signed in with Google or Apple.

We confirm by email as soon as it's done. If the address you write from doesn't match an account, we'll reply and ask — we won't delete someone else's data on someone else's say-so.

How long it takes

Within 3 days

We verify the request came from the account holder and reply to confirm.

Within 30 days

Your account and all the data listed below is permanently removed. This can't be undone.

What gets deleted

All of it. Not archived, not anonymised and kept — deleted.

  • Your account and sign-in (Google or Apple link)
  • Every thought you captured, and the raw text of each dump
  • Tasks, including counters, deadlines and alarms
  • Goals, habits, challenges and their check-in history
  • Daily and weekly reviews, and anything you let go of
  • The search embeddings generated from your thoughts
  • Your settings, notification times and device push token

What isn't

Anonymous crash and usage counts

They carry no account id and can't be traced back to you, so there's nothing left to identify once your account is gone.

Backup copies, briefly

Encrypted backups roll over on their own schedule. Your data is gone from the live app immediately and falls out of backups within 30 days.

Only want to delete some of it?

You don't need us for that. In the app, open any thought or task and delete it from the menu — it goes straight away, and your account stays as it is.
